Vision & Inspiration
When I tried to file my first LLC, I was shocked at how confusing it was. State websites felt like a maze and the “$0 LLC” services online all turned into hundreds of dollars in upsells for things I didn’t even understand. That experience became the inspiration for Genie LLC. The vision is simple but ambitious—we want to revolutionize the 1.5 billion dollar business formation market by making the first step of entrepreneurship clear, affordable, and modern. Genie gives founders everything they need to register their LLC with confidence for just 49 dollars, and while AI is available as a guide when questions come up, the focus is always on clarity and transparency.

Setup Instructions
Download or fork the Next.js app repo into your own GitHub account or local environment.
Set Up Hosting Deploy to Vercel (recommended) or your preferred host.
Configure Database and Auth Create a Supabase project. Set up Postgres database, authentication, and storage. Apply the existing SQL migrations to mirror current tables and RLS policies.
Connect Stripe Payments Create a Stripe account and set up the $49 product (one-time payment). Add your test and live API keys to .env.local.
AI Integration Generate an OpenAI API key and add it to .env.local for the in-dashboard AI assistant.
